History

The Noble Blades were founded in 1993 by several cast members of the Reston Community Players’ production of Macbeth. After its founding, the members began training and became RCP’s resident stage combat troupe.

In July 2020, the group reorganized as a non-profit organization under the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia to conduct a stage combat troupe and educational organization dedicated to the study, practice, education and demonstration of the art of staged violence and physical storytelling. Its primary activities include providing workshops, demonstrations and fight choreography. The Noble Blades are committed to learning and presenting stage combat in an entertaining, educational, historically accurate and safe manner.
